LetsBuyIt.com analyse much-anticipated results from their huge summer surveys.
We asked our shoppers to complete one survey a week over the summer and now the results are in across our French, German and English sites! Find out how England compares to France and Germany in this bare-all analysis.

PARIS, FRANCE, August 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- We asked our shoppers to complete one survey a week over the summer and now the results are in across our French, German and English sites!

LetsBuyIt.co.uk head office has had an absolutely scorching summer with what seems to be a heat wave every week! So, during those hazy, summer days, we thought what better way to take our minds of the heat than to ask you, how you spend your holidays! With one question being asked per week over a three week period we had a huge response from you with over 500 of our diligent shoppers participating, providing us with some fantastic results!

By the number of participants eager to tell us where exactly they are going on holiday this year we can most definitely see you are all very excited about your holidays! Whilst there is no obvious forerunner of where you most like to spend your holidays, we can tell you that 32 percent of you in fact chose a hotel by the sea, putting this holiday location in the lead by 2 percent. 30 percent of you then chose at a campsite. Many people are opting for staycations this year due to the economic crisis and we say why not! Coming in third was staying at a holiday cottage with 19 percent of the voters opting for that choice and lastly 18 percent of you haven't decided yet! What is crystal clear however are the favourite holiday hotspots for each country! Evidently the Germans and the English enjoy their camping whilst the French would rather opt for a hotel by the sea... perhaps in the South of France...we wish!

Now onto how much money you like to spend on holiday! The winner of the splashing-the-cash prize goes to Germany where over 50 percent of the Germans like to spend upwards of 700 Euros! In second place is France where 31 percent of you spend over 700 Euros on your holidays, a far-cry for the German 50 percent! And scraping into third place with 30 percent of the vote is England where evidently, we are not big spenders this year! 50 percent of the English and over 55 percent of the French prefer to spend between 300 and 700 Euros on their holidays whilst the Germans prefer to spend upwards of 700 Euros

Now onto the survey we probably had most invested in, how do you cool yourself down when it is hot outside! We really wanted to know!! The Germans lived up to their stereotype of being super-efficient with 50 percent of them battling the heat by trying not to move around too much and thus not burning any energy, whilst the ever-practical English tried to stay cool with a fan or air conditioning unit with 50 percent of you voting for that option. It would appear however that the French have monopolized the situation by doing a little bit of everything! Those frenchies indulged in some ice-cream eating, wearing skimpy clothes and using a fan/air conditioning unit in a bid to beat the heat! Inspired idea if you ask us!

So, to summarise, the Germans are going camping this year for upwards of 700 euros and cooling down by staying sedentary! The French are of course sunning themselves at a hotel by the beach with a budget of between 300 and 700 euros and are cooling down by indulging in all of our favourite summer activites; eating ice cream, frollocking in skimpy summer clothes and letting cool air wash over them with an air conditioning unit or fan. Last but by no means least, this year the English are economizing at a campsite with a budget of between 300 and 700 euros and staying cool with an air conditioning unit!
